In these challenging times we are making tough economic decisions. Our budget is lean but efficient, and yet our annual fundraising goal remains significant as the needs of our students only grows deeper. Your generous gift will allow us to meet these great challenges head on:

Population Explosion:

Some estimates suggest that we may see an increase of 1,000-2,000 Jewish undergraduate students at our campuses due to the economic fallout of Covid-19.

One-On-One Attention:

We are living in challenging times that force our students to seriously engage in life’s tough questions. Our staff and clergy provide one-on-one attention that is both critical and time consuming.

A friend:

In normal times, Hillel 818 is the best platform for social connections and community available to our commuter students. During Covid-19, Hillel 818 may be the only platform for social connection and community available to our students.

Mental Health Epidemic:

There is a mental health epidemic on college campuses. Hillel 818 provides a safe space, spiritual grounding, and a welcoming community that is regularly cited by students as a critically positive component of their mental health.

Judaism Persists:

During a time of increased social distance, our wisdom, tradition, texts, rituals, and customs are more important than ever.
