September Events Recap

September was our first full month at Hillel 818 and it has been so amazing seeing all our students join us for programs, hang out in the building, grab coffee with our staff, and so much more!

This month, we launched our first Rosh Chodesh group, creating a new space for students to learn about and celebrate this Jewish tradition. Together, students reflected on the past month, set new intentions for the month ahead, crafted, snacked, and connected with one another.

We’re so excited to continue building this group and gathering together to mark each new month with creativity and community.

Then came the Round Challah Bake, where students got hands-on with one of our favorite Jewish traditions. We baked, braided, and spent time together preparing for the High Holidays.

Our Chai Society Kickoff brought brunch to the next level, allowing students to connect with each other and Israel. It was the perfect start to another year of great Jewish leadership from the group!

We also brought a special flair to Shabbat with Country Shabbat, serving up a good old-fashioned home-cooked meal alongside our signature musical Shabbat service.

So much more happened in September than we could even begin to explain. Our students impress us everyday with their creativity and passion for Hillel 818. Stay tuned for what we bring to October!
